The Need

Did You Know? Did you know that drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury death in children aged 1–3 years. Sadly one child under the age of 5 drowns in Australia every week - and many others suffer permanent injuries as a result of near drownings. Every drowning is preventable and children skilled with our effective drowning prevention skills go on to become above-average little swimmers who love the water and revel in their success.

As Australian's much of our lives are spent in or close to water. From the swimming pools in our backyard's and schools, to the magnificent beaches, lakes and rivers across our country, its part of our culture to enjoy water sports, swimming and waterside living.

Mistakes can and do happen. The statistics at the start of this page speak for themselves. There is no greater need for survival swim training for your little one than the need to prepare them in case of trouble.

The Infant Aquatics℠  Swim-Float-Swim survival swim system is an amazing program that gives infants and young children aquatic survival skills and a solid foundation for life as a swimmer. In just a few weeks, children learn how to swim and float independently, even if fully dressed. This sets your toddler up for water safety from the get-go, and a life time of safety and fun!

The roll over breathing is a technique that many schools and learn-to-swim teachers don’t even attempt because it takes time, skill and patience. But once children learn to roll over to float, relax and breathe whenever air is needed, they can truly swim, stay afloat, conquer fear and experience the joy of swimming.
